Here is this year's christmas card design for my family, featuring Wolfy! (of course) I had a general idea of what I wanted to do, but my mom basically told me what she wanted to see specifically in this piece. I tried to work this from an illustrator's standpoint, going through thumbnails and colour studies and whatnot... I think it turned out well overall. I did struggle with making it look like he was looking out a window without showing the window frame itself, but I don't think I could have "zoomed in" as much as my mom wanted if I showed the window frame.
I put more effort into this christmas card design because I wanted to show off my art skills to my family.
ALSO (the reason I put a lot of effort into this)....
I'm going to donate the framed original to Eskie rescuers United ( http://www.eskierescuers.org/ ) if they will take it. If not, I'm going to try and sell it myself and donate the proceeds to them directly.

Holy crap this is amazing! You really mastered those acrylics and showed em who's boss!

Aw, that's beautiful. The colours are amazing, and the cool greys/blues really contrast the warmer ones of the fire! Lovely work, as always. :)

That's awesome! So cute too! I immediately understood that he was looking out a window; the only thing that might have helped it to be more obvious though is if there was some light reflecting off the glass.
